The room was not the pool view I anticipated, and an unexpected additional charge for my partner raised eyebrows. The cleanliness was acceptable, yet I noted a few cockroaches-a concern likely due to areas not fully sealed. Housekeeping maintained commendable standards, ensuring a tidy environment, while the staff, aside from the owner, were courteous and attentive. Unfortunately, the absence of a backup generator during Cape Town's rolling blackouts diminished the luxury experience. Despite the challenges, the room offered essential amenities, such as air conditioning and flat-screen TV, alongside complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Given the competitive pricing for such a serviceable accommodation in a busy city, Milnerton Lagoon Villa still holds merit for budget-conscious travelers. In summary, the villa provides a reasonable balance of comfort and cost, ideal for those prioritizing utility over opulence.
